Social Agent’s On-Demand Photography App Connects Users with Professionals in Minutes

In today’s digital age, capturing and sharing life’s special moments has become almost obligatory. However, not everyone has the time or expertise to take high-quality photos. Hiring a professional photographer can be expensive and often requires advance booking. Social Agent, a new location-based gig app, aims to solve this problem by offering on-demand photography and videography services with a promise of arrival within 30 minutes.

Founded by Lisa Jammal, along with co-founders Brooke Levy and Jeff Tobler, Social Agent is designed for last-minute needs. Whether it’s a brunch with friends, a birthday celebration, or a business requiring quick product shots, the app connects users with trained photographers and content creators. “Social Agent is focused on really building trust between agents and clients,” Jammal said. “The trust factor is everything.”

Users can book sessions starting at $65 for 30 minutes or $120 for an hour, with options for photos or videos tailored for platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok. Unedited content is delivered within 30 minutes, while edited versions take a few hours for an additional fee. The app also features a split-payment option, making it easier for groups to share costs.

Unlike traditional photography services, which can charge hundreds or even thousands of dollars, Social Agent offers an affordable alternative. Its closest competitor, Snappr, requires a two-hour notice and delivers edited photos within 48 hours. However, Social Agent’s rapid response and lower pricing may disrupt the industry, much like Uber did to taxis.

The app, launching in June on the App Store, will initially be available in Los Angeles, with plans to expand to other major U.S. cities. Social Agent has already onboarded nearly 100 content creators and secured $2 million in funding. Future updates may include in-app editing tools and a subscription model.
