Intel’s Chief Commercial Officer Christoph Schell Steps Down Amid Company Restructuring
Christoph Schell, Intel’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, has announced his resignation after two years with the company. According to an SEC filing, Schell will depart on June 30 to pursue another career opportunity.
Intel confirmed that Greg Ernst, Corporate Vice President of Sales and Marketing, will serve as the “interim leader” while the company searches for a permanent replacement. “Christoph has worked tirelessly on behalf of our customers during his time with Intel, and we are grateful for his many contributions,” an Intel spokesperson stated.
Schell, who previously held leadership roles at HP, Philips, and Procter & Gamble, joined Intel in February 2022. His departure coincides with a period of significant transformation under CEO Lip-Bu Tan, who has restructured divisions, reduced workforce plans, and adjusted remote work policies.
Recent changes include consolidating executive roles, retaining Intel Capital, and enforcing a four-day office mandate. The company is also focusing on AI expansion under a newly appointed AI chief.
